Terms of Sale
Version 1.0 · Last updated September 2026
These terms apply when you buy a garment from us. They are written to be read, not skipped. Where the law gives you a right, we have said so plainly rather than burying it, and nothing here takes away any right you have as a consumer.
01 Who you are buying from
You are buying from Storm's Eye Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company number 17243691), trading as Storm's Eye, whose registered office is 167–169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF.
You can reach us at hello@intothestormseye.com. We answer email, usually within a day or two.
These terms apply to consumers, meaning people buying for themselves rather than for a business. If you are buying for a business, email us first, because different terms apply.
02 How the contract is formed
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract between us is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email, not when you pay.
If we cannot accept your order we will tell you and refund you in full. The most likely reasons are that the piece has sold out, we have identified an error in the price or description, or we are unable to deliver to your address.
Each garment is numbered. If you have asked for a particular number, we will do our best, but numbers are allocated in order of payment and we cannot promise a specific one.
03 The garments
Capsule 001 is a limited run of fifty jackets, numbered 001 to 050. There is no restock.
The garments are made by hand in small numbers. Slight variations in finish, stitching and shade are normal and are not faults. Photographs on this site are as accurate as we can make them, but screens differ and the shell is a fabric that holds light, so the colour you see may not be exactly the colour that arrives.
Care instructions are on the label inside the garment. Please read them. A 7 denier shell is light and strong, but it is not indestructible, and damage caused by ignoring the care instructions is not a fault.
04 Price and payment
The price is the one shown on the product page at the time you order, in pounds sterling, and includes VAT where applicable. Delivery costs are shown before you pay.
We take payment at the point of order through Stripe, who handle card details directly. We never see or store your full card number.
If we discover that a price was wrong before we accept your order, we will tell you and you can confirm the correct price or cancel.
05 Delivery
We deliver to the United Kingdom. If you are outside the UK, email us before ordering.
The dispatch date shown on the product page is the date we will send your order by. We will email you when it is on its way.
If we have not delivered within thirty days of the contract, or by any later date we have agreed with you, you can treat the contract as at an end and we will refund you in full.
The garment becomes your responsibility when it is delivered to the address you gave us. It belongs to you once we have received payment in full.
06 Your right to change your mind
You have fourteen days to change your mind, for any reason at all, and you do not have to tell us why.
The fourteen days run from the day you, or someone you nominate, physically receive the garment.
This is your right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To use it, tell us clearly that you are cancelling, by email to hello@intothestormseye.com. A short message is enough.
Once you have told us, you have a further fourteen days to send the garment back.
We will refund you within fourteen days of receiving the garment back, or of you showing us proof that you sent it, whichever is sooner. We refund to the payment method you used. We will also refund the standard delivery cost you paid, though if you chose a more expensive delivery option we only refund the standard rate.
We can reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value if you have handled the garment more than you would in a shop. Trying it on is fine. Wearing it out is not.
07 How to return something
Email us first and we will tell you where to send it. Do not send anything back without telling us, because we cannot be responsible for a parcel we do not know is coming.
If you are returning something because you changed your mind, you pay the cost of sending it back. Use a tracked service and keep the receipt. Until it reaches us, it is your responsibility.
If you are returning something because it is faulty or not as described, we pay. Tell us and we will arrange it or reimburse what it cost you.
Please send it back in the condition you received it, with the label and any packaging, so that it can be resold.
08 If something is wrong with it
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, what we sell you must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you have rights that these terms do not affect.
In short:
- Within thirty days of delivery, you can reject it and get a full refund
- After thirty days and within six months, we get one chance to repair or replace it. If that does not work, you can have a refund
- After six months, the same applies, although you may need to show the fault was there when it was delivered
Email hello@intothestormseye.com with your order number and a photograph of the problem. We will not make this difficult.
09 The garment passport
Every garment carries an NFC label and a private archive, which we call the garment passport. It is worth being precise about what you are buying.
The label is part of the garment and belongs to you with it. It proves the piece is genuine by producing a response that has never been used before and will never be accepted again.
The archive is a service we run. Photographs, video and sound that you add are stored on our systems and attached to the garment rather than to you. We do not use what you add for anything else, and the privacy notice sets out exactly how it is handled.
We commit to running the archive for at least five years from the date you buy the garment. We expect to run it for very much longer, and we intend to, but we are not going to promise something we cannot guarantee.
We may change how the archive works, and we will improve it over time. If we ever have to make a change that materially reduces what it does, we will tell you by email first and give you a way to download everything you have added.
You can export your archive at any time. The jacket does not depend on our servers to be a jacket, and the proof of authenticity does not depend on the archive.
Two things the passport does not do, in case anyone tells you otherwise. It does not track the garment, and it does not know where it is. It cannot tell you who owns a jacket or who owned it before.
10 Selling the jacket on
You can sell, lend or give the jacket to whoever you like. It is yours.
When you hand it on, there is a transfer step in the passport. It clears your passphrase if you set one, removes any locations you chose to record, and passes the archive to the next owner. We strongly recommend using it, because the archive travels with the garment and the next person will be able to see what is in it.
We do not take a cut of a resale, we do not control the price, and we are not party to a sale between you and somebody else. If you buy a Storm's Eye garment secondhand, the passport will tell you whether it is genuine, but your purchase is a matter between you and the seller, not between you and us.
11 If something happens to us
We are a new company and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise, so here is what happens to the passport if Storm's Eye stops trading.
We will give at least ninety days' notice by email to the address on your order, and during that period you will be able to export everything in your archive as a single download, including the original files.
The jacket remains a jacket, the label remains in it, and your own copy of the archive remains yours.
12 Our responsibility to you
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breach of your legal rights in relation to the garments.
We supply the garments for domestic and private use. If you use them for any commercial purpose, we have no liability for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
13 Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays outside our control. If our supply is delayed by something we could not reasonably have prevented, we will contact you as soon as possible and do what we can to reduce the delay. If the delay is substantial, you can contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for anything you have paid for but not received.
14 Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email hello@intothestormseye.com and tell us. We would far rather hear it from you than read it somewhere else.
If we cannot resolve it between us, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme, and you always retain the right to take the matter to court.
15 General
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, and we will tell you in writing if we do. You may only transfer your rights or obligations to another person if we agree in writing, although you can of course sell the garment itself, which is a different thing.
This contract is between you and us. Nobody else has any right to enforce it.
Each paragraph of these terms operates separately. If a court decides that any of them is unlawful, the rest will remain in force.
If we do not insist that you do something you are required to do, or if we delay in taking steps against you, that does not mean we have given up our rights.
These terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in the English courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings there instead.
We may revise these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones in force on the date you ordered, and the version number and date at the top of this page show the current revision.
